LEADING Job Release Note 25.10
With the latest update of LEADING Job, you can look forward to six new features, complemented by 24 targeted improvements to existing functions.
Version 25.10 focuses on an optimized user experience for date selection, more precise privileges for controlling sensitive actions, and a simplified approach to handling exchange rates in cost estimates. Reporting has also been enhanced: the “Daily Working Time” report now displays only the data that’s truly relevant.
In the web application of Leading JOB each update only takes place after prior consultation with the customer. You can test the new features first in your test database.

Reports
General
1. New dropdowns for month and year in the date picker
What’s new? All calendar fields now offer dropdown menus for selecting month and year.
Why is this important? It’s now much easier to jump directly to a specific date – no more clicking through individual months.

Cost Estimates
2. New privilege for creating cost estimate variants
What’s new? The function for creating variants has been separated from the general cost estimate privilege and is now available as an independent privilege.
This new privilege can be found under Master data → User → Agency data → Privileges (Individual)
It is called:
“Cost estimate - CE - create variant”
This new privilege must be explicitly assigned to employees or role groups as needed.
Why is this important? This allows for more control over the process and ensures that variants can only be created intentionally. The new structure improves security and traceability, especially in sensitive calculations.

3. Revised exchange rate fields in cost estimates
What’s new? For cost estimates in a foreign currency (e.g. agency currency EUR, client currency USD), a central exchange rate field is now available in the cost estimate header. It displays the applicable rate and allows manual adjustments.
Previously, the rate was automatically taken from the master data in the background – it was neither visible nor editable in the header. At the same time, each service line included an editable rate field, which often led to confusion and inconsistencies.
These service-level rate fields are now deactivated for matching currencies.
Why is this important? The new structure improves clarity and consistency when handling exchange rates. One visible and editable rate now applies to the entire estimate – no more conflicting values across individual services.

Jobs
4. Only current jobs shown when copying/rebooking services
What’s new? When copying or rebooking services, dropdowns for selecting products and campaigns now only show entries linked to open target jobs. Entries linked only to closed jobs are automatically hidden.
Why is this important? Over time, the number of old entries grows and clutters the selection. This update keeps the dropdowns clean and focused – making it faster and easier to find the right job.

Supplier Invoices / Documents
5. New privilege for replacing scans after approval of a supplier invoice
What’s new? In rare cases, a wrong scan may be attached to an already approved supplier invoice. To avoid having to cancel the invoice, a new privilege has been introduced:
"Documents (SI) - modify scan document for approved SI"
This privilege allows replacing the scan even after approval – valid for the statuses “approved”, “without positioning (OV) approved”, “cancelled” and “claimed”.
Why is this important? Mistakes can happen. Previously, fixing a scan required a full cancellation. Now, with the right privilege, it can be corrected directly and cleanly.
Note: This privilege should only be granted to users who understand its accounting implications.
Reports
6. Enhancements to the “Timesheet Daily Attendance” report
What’s new? The “Timesheet Daily Attendance” report has been refined in terms of selection behavior, default values, and which days are displayed.

- If no “from” date is selected, the report defaults to January 1 of the current year.
- If no “to” date is selected, the report defaults to today’s date.
- Displayed weekdays are now based on the working days defined in the employee master data.
Days marked with 0.00 hours (e.g. weekends) are no longer shown by default.
If someone works Monday to Wednesday only, then only those days will appear in their report. - If time entries exist on days marked as non-working (0.00 hours), they are still shown in the report.
- Days before entry or after exit of employment are automatically excluded from the report.
Why is this important? The report is now more compact and aligned with actual working schedules. No more manual cleanup needed.
